β€’ Pearson is seeking an experienced Commercial Product Manager for Physical Sciences in Higher Education Courseware to join a highly collaborative team. β€’ Focus on overseeing a portfolio of products such as eTexts and print books, lab manuals, and our homework platform, Mastering. β€’ Serve as the voice of the customer to prioritize market opportunities & customer pain points. β€’ Lead product strategy and contribute to the creation of new products and features. β€’ Gather and analyze customer feedback and market research to gain deep insights into product performance. β€’ Champion data-driven decision-making, using strong data analysis skills to assess product performance. β€’ Acquire and manage authorial talent, working directly with authors to bring their best work to market. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative products that drive improved learner outcomes. β€’ Drive continuous product improvement post-launch, optimizing customer experience and adapting to market requirements. β€’ Support achievement of the financial targets for your product(s) through knowledge of product P&Ls. β€’ Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, helping them navigate complex tasks.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent β€’ Commercial product management/portfolio management experience, including managing digital products β€’ 2-3 years experience as a college sales representative preferred β€’ Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%) β€’ Strong understanding of education, particularly higher education, and learning from a consumer viewpoint β€’ Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution across multiple markets. β€’ Passion for design thinking, applying empathy, curiosity, and collaboration to explore innovative ideas. β€’ Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tell a compelling story using data and customer feedback to drive decisions. β€’ Competence in analyzing market trends and identifying actionable insights to develop strategic product initiatives.
