📋 Description

• Hire, manage, and mentor a team of data engineers, architects, and analysts, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. • Partner with Product Team and Business Leaders to define and execute the data engineering roadmap, vision, and architecture, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives and priorities. • Design, build, and optimize scalable, reliable, and secure data and image analysis pipelines and platforms using cloud technologies, big data tools, and best practices. • Manage the data ingestion, integration, transformation, and storage processes from various internal and external sources, and ensure data quality, consistency, and availability. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and efficiency of the data systems and processes, and resolve any data issues or challenges. • Research and evaluate new data technologies, trends, and best practices, and recommend and implement improvements and enhancements. • Introduce machine learning and AI capabilities into the data platform. • Implement and enforce data governance, security, and compliance policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of leadership experience in data engineering, data architecture, data warehousing, or related roles, preferably in the life sciences industry. • Expertise in AWS cloud technologies (DataZone, Glue, Athena, etc) and big data tools, such as Snowflake or Databricks • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, Scala, or R. • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data structures, data quality, and data security principles and practices. • Experience managing in an Agile development environment with upstream and downstream system interfaces – including data exchanges. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, and ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. • English: Fluent.
