Description

• PHIL is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead and grow our engineering team focused on processing pharmacy claims and coupons. • This role involves overseeing the architecture, development, and optimization of our platform that enables real-time claims processing, coupon management, and integrations with pharmacy networks. • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare technology, experience managing complex data processing workflows, and a passion for improving access to medications through technology. • This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of PHIL.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role • Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise-grade platforms, preferably in healthcare, pharmacy claims, or similar fields • Strong experience with processing claims, handling financial transactions, and integrating with external data sources and pharmacy systems. • Knowledge of healthcare standards such as NCPDP is a plus • Deep understanding of compliance, privacy, and security requirements for healthcare data. • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Golang, Python, .NET) and frameworks, with a focus on backend and data processing systems. • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architecture. • Experience with data management and ETL processes, especially for real-time and high-volume transaction systems. • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams. • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and present to executive leadership.
