Description

β€’ Posts payments and adjustments to invoices. β€’ Receives and follows up on incoming correspondence and telephone inquiries regarding information for payment. β€’ Clears edits, contacts payers and submits claims via electronic or paper claim submission according to governmental regulations, agency policies, Prisma Health guidelines and timeliness standards. β€’ Reviews patient accounts transaction history to ensure full understanding of next steps. β€’ Documents work activity on the patient accounts according to departmental guidelines. β€’ Works and monitors electronic work queues daily resolving any outstanding accounts according to departmental guidelines. β€’ Adheres to policies and procedures as required by Prisma Health and follows all compliant regulatory payer guidance. β€’ Attends required training as appropriate, participates in general or special assignments and performs other duties as assigned. β€’ Knowledgeable of the job functions required for a Cash Posting Representative, Claims Clearinghouse Representative and a Correspondence Representative. β€’ Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

β€’ High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned β€’ 2 years - Billing, bookkeeping, accounting
