Description

• Support litigation by managing and organizing case files and documents • Contribute to preparation and finalization of legal memos and pleadings • Coordinate court filings • Assist with the discovery process • Conduct research, synthesize findings, and draft related communications • Cite-check, fact-check, and proofread documents • Engage with clients, opposing counsel, partner organizations, and stakeholders • Assist in drafting external-facing communications materials • Perform project management on discrete projects • Support creation and maintenance of information management systems • Strategize with team members and contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions • Propose new impact projects • Contribute to culture-building initiatives

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant paralegal experience • Supporting litigation through preparing, finalizing, and filing pleadings in court • Cite checking and Bluebooking documents • Drafting discovery materials and correspondence • Navigating federal rules of civil procedure and state/local court rules • Case management/litigation administration • Strong writing, researching, editing, and proofreading skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Project management experience • Nimbleness and an ability to perform well in a rapid-paced environment • Willingness to learn new skills and processes • Ability to foster collaborative relationships • Rigorous attention to detail • Growth mindset • A passionate commitment to democratic norms and institutions • Experience in civil litigation, civil impact litigation, or plaintiff-side litigation (plus) • Paralegal certification (plus)
