📋 Description

• You'll be working closely with the Head of Group Property & Environment, contributing significantly to the development and delivery of the company's Environmental Social Governance strategy. • The scope of your responsibilities will be broad and important. • You'll maintain our Environmental Management System (EMS), conduct internal audits, liaise with external auditors, manage legal compliance updates, and oversee ESOS compliance. • Your role will also involve significant research and benchmarking to stay on top of legislation that could impact us and advise on emerging trends in environmental management. • A significant part of your role will involve stakeholder engagement. • You'll manage responses to initiatives such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), FTSE4Good, ISS, Zero Carbon Emissions roadmap, Net Zero, Ad Net Zero, Scope 3 Emissions, and Science Based Targets. • You'll also collect data for annual reporting and contribute to our Annual Report.

🎯 Requirements

• An educational background in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field is essential • Professional certifications in environmental management systems like ISO 14001 being highly desirable • A strong understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements, including ESOS and Carbon Disclosure Project protocols • Robust research and analytical skills to monitor legislative impacts, conduct benchmarking exercises, and advise on industry best practices • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for effectively engaging with internal and external stakeholders, drafting reports, and contributing to annual reports • A genuine passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to advancing the company’s ESG strategy will set you apart in this dynamic environment
