• As the VP of Engineering at Rebrandly, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth, leading a high-performing, diverse engineering team through significant transformation. • You’ll be responsible for spearheading the development of scalable technical strategies that support the company's YoY growth objectives, guiding infrastructure optimization, and fostering a culture of innovation across the organization. • Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and business teams to ensure that the company's technical initiatives align with long-term business goals. • In this role, you’ll define Rebrandly's technical vision, oversee the execution of the technical roadmap, and mentor and grow the engineering team. • You'll also work on product-led growth strategies and ensure the team is working towards creating a scalable, efficient, and customer-centric product.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5-7 years of direct people management and engineering leadership in the SaaS industry. • Strong technical leadership with expertise in building large-scale web applications and a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges. • Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail and quality with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Demonstrated experience setting up and managing incident response processes and teams. • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing technical roadmaps, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance optimization. • Proven ability to drive engineering initiatives in alignment with Product-Led Growth strategies, creating products that drive customer acquisition and retention. • Expertise in DevOps practices and running DevOps teams, ensuring stable and secure infrastructure. • Experience with AWS infrastructure, specifically DynamoDB and Elasticsearch. • Proficiency in multiple scripting languages such as Node.js, Python, Bash, and React, along with Linux system administration. • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking skills, GitHub branching concepts, and experience in incident management and response processes. • Proven ability to operate and maintain stable, high-performing developer-facing products at scale, including: Reliability: Commitment to achieving and maintaining high Service Level Objectives (SLOs). • Trust and Safety: Deep understanding of trust, safety, and security in scalable infrastructure (SOC2, Abuse Management). • Product Development: Experience developing products with APIs, SDKs, and custom solutions for a global audience, ideally in communication platforms. • Data Privacy Regulations: Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implementation.
