Description

• Position within the Legal Department for a lawyer delivering effective legal services • Management responsibility for one or more legal professionals may be required • Responsible for handling significant legal projects and issues • Strong decision-making capability and ability to make business-oriented recommendations • Expected to solve both straightforward and complex problems • Manage multiple matters and prioritize tasks effectively

Requirements

• Law Degree - must be a graduate of an accredited law school and admitted into the state bar • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a lawyer combined with expertise in pharmaceutical law, contracts and commercial law, and health law • Strong background in the pharmaceutical industry’s laws (including Anti-Kickback statute, False Claims Act, DSCSA, 340B) • Significant knowledge of healthcare, regulatory and corporate law, including SEC, FTC and FDA regulations, litigation, anti-trust laws, and contract negotiation and preparation • Background working for a brand pharmaceutical manufacturer, pharmacy or healthcare company • Ability to lead negotiations, strategy development, and implementation • Experience in sourcing specialty pharmaceutical products, biosimilars, rare disease and cell and gene therapies • Knowledge of industry policies, practices, trends and the competitive landscape • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Excellent judgment and ability to resolve complex issues effectively • Strong drafting and negotiating skills • Strong presentation skills • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
