📋 Description
• Develop and implement LTL pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and profitability. • Analyze freight costs, market trends, and industry benchmarks to adjust pricing models accordingly. • Manage customer pricing proposals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and margin expectations. • Utilize data analytics to assess lane performance, customer profitability, and cost structures. • Lead carrier negotiations to secure competitive rates and service levels for LTL transportation. • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with national and regional LTL carriers. • Monitor carrier performance and compliance, ensuring on-time delivery, service quality, and cost control. • Leverage transportation management systems (TMS) and other technologies to streamline pricing and procurement operations. • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Finance) to enhance efficiency and decision-making. • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting LTL pricing and capacity.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (master’s preferred) • 7+ years of experience in LTL pricing, procurement, or carrier relations in the logistics industry • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing competitive LTL rates • Deep understanding of LTL carrier networks, tariffs, and pricing methodologies • Proficiency in TMS software, Excel, and data analytics tools • Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into actionable strategies • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams
