📋 Description

• Resource Innovations is seeking an Assistant Controller in Illinois to join our growing team. • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller with a strong background in Accounting and Financial Reporting. • The Assistant Controller will be working closely with the Corporate Controller, Accounting Manager, and other members of the accounting team. • This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. • They will mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring the team adheres to high standards of financial accuracy and efficiency. • As a key point of contact for the operational side of accounting, this role will also involve coordination and assistance with various internal teams to ensure requirements are met. • The Assistant Controller will oversee a team of junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. • The position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple accounting functions while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. • Resource Innovations (RI) is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact. • Building on our expertise in energy efficiency, we're constantly expanding our portfolio of clean energy solutions. • With every step, we're leading the charge to power change.

🎯 Requirements

• Location: Must be located in or willing to relocate the greater Chicagoland, IL area within 30 days of acceptance. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required, Big 4 preferred). • Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial statement preparation and review, account reconciliation preparation and review, accounting process, internal controls, and assurance work. • Leadership: Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage teams, and guide candidates for growth with minimal training. • Interest in sustainability: Passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.
