Description

• The General Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor for Rising, providing strategic legal guidance and support across all business functions. • This role will focus on managing legal risk, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and handling a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory issues. • The Corporate Counsel will work closely with the executive team and cross-functional departments, acting as a business partner to drive growth while protecting the company’s interests.

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited law school • Admitted into a State bar and in good standing • 5+ years professional experience as an attorney in the casualty insurance services industry with contracting, labor law, and compliance experience • 3+ years contracting experience • Experience in workers’ compensation, auto, managed care, Medical Provider Network, and/or group health industry is preferred • Well-developed time-management, organization, and prioritization skills • Excellent analytical skills • Excellent rapport-building skills with internal and external customers • Excellent oral and written communication • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare summary reports • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-faceted production-oriented environment • Demonstrated persistence and attention to detail • Familiarity with medical billing procedures, CPT and ICD-9 codes, and carrier guidelines • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications • Ability to remain productive during stressful situations • Customer-service orientation
