Description

β€’ RMI is seeking a Communications & Marketing Lead to support the creation and execution of communications plans β€’ Execute communications plans and strategies with clear goals, target audiences, and tactics β€’ Work as liaison between program staff, external partners, and in-house communications teams β€’ Build and update media lists and research new reporters β€’ Draft compelling and relevant pitches for reporters β€’ Manage and grow initiative LinkedIn channels and digital presence β€’ Identify and pitch experts for public speaking opportunities β€’ Help develop and report against metrics of success and track activities against outcomes and impact

Requirements

β€’ 3 to 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism disciplines β€’ Excellent initiative, follow-through, and project management skills β€’ Strong writing, editing, and verbal communications skills β€’ Passion for storytelling and messaging around complex issues β€’ Experience working on digital campaigns, event marketing, and social media initiatives β€’ Experience with graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite and Canva), video, Salesforce, and WordPress is a plus β€’ Experience working on energy and climate policy, in journalism, or in non-profit communications is a plus
