ABOUT ROCKET MONEY • At Rocket Money, our mission is to empower people to live their best financial lives. We provide our members with an insightful understanding of their finances and offer valuable services designed to save them time and money—helping them get ahead on their financial journey. • ABOUT THE ROLE • The Short Version: You’ll be responsible for concepting, writing, positioning, and shaping the creative strategy for Rocket Card. • The Long Version: The Card team is in the early stages of growth, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s creative strategy as we learn more about our target customers. You will need to be able to translate user research and data into innovative copy that converts. Your primary focus will be copywriting for ads, landing pages, and other marketing collateral. • With the freedom to prioritize your own projects, we’re looking for someone who can make an impact without needing extensive structure or direction. As the first full-time creative hire there will be opportunities to build and manage a team. • WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH • You’ll collaborate with Rocket Money’s world-class creative team but will be the sole copywriter dedicated to the Card product. You will work closely with the Card Director of Growth and regularly collaborate with our research and product teams. • ABOUT YOU • What You’ll Need to Wow Us: • Bottom Line: We’re looking for someone with low ego and high hustle to help build a company and team. We want someone who is data driven, results oriented and an innovative problem solver. • Additional information: Salary range of $130,000 - $150,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
5+ years of experience in an advertising/marketing agency or in-house marketing role, with a strong portfolio of creative work that demonstrates clear, concise, and engaging copy across a variety of digital media. Proven experience working with user-acquisition and growth teams, showcasing both short and long-form copy that communicates value propositions and drives purchases. You have an owner’s mindset - you don’t shy away from the hard stuff, and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, even if it’s “not your job”. A deep understanding of all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube…) and the ability to tailor messaging based on placement and audience. You love research. You enjoy deep diving into consumer research and have experience doing competitor research.
