📋 Description
• Build and improve ML models, including retraining and optimizing open-source models to solve Samsara-specific problems • Work with petabyte-scale data from Samsara’s cameras and diverse sensors to develop new multimodal models • Research and apply cutting-edge technologies from the latest industry and academic research • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative AI products from scratch • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years experience as an Applied Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role • BS or MS in Computer Science or another quantitative field • Strong proficiency in one or more common languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Golang) • Proficiency with common ML tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark) • Proficiency in pulling your own data via SQL, Spark, or a similar data-querying language • Experience iteratively refining models using customer feedback loops
