Description

• The HW Solutions FW team is focused on prototyping new products and technologies. • Collaborate closely with product and software teams to align technology exploration with product requirements. • Evaluate and prototype new technologies in Cellular, Wireless Connectivity, and Location Technologies focusing on embedded systems. • Map new technologies to potential Samsara products. • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. • 8+ years of professional experience with firmware/software teams on cellular, wireless, and location technologies. • Broad hands-on development experience in the above technologies. • Working experience with embedded Linux and RTOS systems. • Comfortable with low-level C, Linux kernel development, and CI/CD tools. • Experience with hardware-firmware integration and hardware communication protocols. • Knowledge of security protocols and encryption methods in embedded systems. • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
