• Company Profile • At Sand Cherry Associates, we excel in the design and delivery of strategic customer-centric initiatives through digitally native, data-empowered solutions. • Our client’s confidence in us is centered on exceptionally skilled, high-energy talent working with the support of the full Sand Cherry team. • Finding the right match for this role is a critical aspect of continuing that success. • Overview • We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead a complex transformational program effort for an upstream oil and gas company. • The successful candidate will have senior level experience as a program or project manager with years of formal PM knowledge and deliverables, and a deep understanding of oil and gas operations, and/or commodity sales. • The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for transformation efforts from a 3rd party vendor to building an in-house organization to manage sales, market analysis, and operational logistics of energy commodities, such as natural gas and crude oil. • This role will design and build the program structure and have hands on responsibility for project managing numerous work streams. • This role requires experience with large transformational program efforts that impact operations, finance, risk management, legal, compliance and IT systems (i.e., ETRM, ERP, CRM). • The Senior Program Manager will ensure overall program success and smooth integration across all workstreams, change management activities and full program implementation. • This role requires superior executive presence and stakeholder engagement at Director and VP level. • This role is remote and candidates will need to work MST or CST hours. • All qualified candidates must live in the United States to be eligible for consideration.
• Minimum 7 years of proven program/project management experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically within IT or commodity sales functions. • Strong understanding of upstream oil and gas companies and how to optimize operations, manage risks, and enhance profitability through effective marketing, logistics, and trading strategies. • Experience leading and building complex programs or projects centered on transformational efforts or functional transitions from a vendor to an in-house model. • Strong understanding of how to manage a system/platform launch from an IT perspective, ensuring successful integration with existing technologies. • Experience with change management activities and strategies. • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects, including the ability to develop project plans, manage resources, and track progress across multiple work streams. • Executive leadership abilities, with experience building teams, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Experience with IT systems and platforms including CRM, and/or ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management). • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage key stakeholders at the Director and VP level. • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus. • Experience with Smartsheet or similar Project Management software. • Experience with the MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. • Bachelors Degree in Business, Project Management, Communications, Engineering or related field is required. • MBA is helpful.
