Description

• Leading distributed teams of 40+ engineers across different disciplines including mobile development and web development • Establishing engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes to drive excellence across the organization • Leading critical decisions regarding the architecture and implementation of scalable, high-quality engineering solutions • Promoting a rigorous approach to software development, testing, and deployment to ensure quality and reliability • Implementing robust processes to track and report key metrics such as service-level agreements (SLAs), performance, quality, and regular updates to stakeholders • Building a culture of accountability for meeting performance and quality targets, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement • Demonstrating effective communication and collaboration across all engineering teams, promoting knowledge sharing • Acting as a liaison and key communicator between engineering and other departments including product, marketing, and customer support ensuring alignment and collaboration • Ensuring timely delivery of projects while balancing short-term needs and long-term goals • Collaborating with HR and the CTO to identify hiring needs and recruit top engineering talent

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading distributed/overseas engineering teams across multiple geographies and time zones • Prior experience leading teams of least 40+ engineers • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java, React, Kubernetes, and AWS (or equivalent technologies) • Extensive experience with Kanban, Scrum, or other agile methodologies • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) • Proficiency in Russian is a plus
