Description

• Help create and develop the strategic vision and plan for all communications. • Lead communications for the organization with the goal of externally building awareness of ESF. • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement comprehensive, strategic plan for communications and branding. • Provide strategic oversight and creative leadership to guide vision and messaging for external communications. • Collaborate with Directors to generate all marketing materials, website, social media, and newsletter content. • Write copy & design graphics for all social media and communications tools. • Manage ESF’s social media channels and create annual editorial calendar. • Oversight and creation of quarterly ESF newsletters and additional external communications. • Support preparation of external reports, presentations, & documents to align with brand voice. • Draft and distribute press releases in collaboration with staff and partner organizations. • Create and manage annual communications plan with a budget and recommendations for external support as needed. • Develop & report on metrics to gauge the efficacy of our digital communications.

Requirements

• 5 -7 years of comparable experience in communications, within nonprofit organizations preferred. • Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy. • Commitment to embodying ESF’s values and contributing to our worker-centered culture. • Demonstrated experience working with social media editorial calendars and strategic communications plans. • Possess strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills. • Able to craft and adapt content to a range of formats and audiences. • Excellent time and priority management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced growth environment. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external partners. • Have previous online community management experience.
