• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources or a related field • At least 4+ years of experience in Australian payroll (candidates without any Australian experience will not be considered) • End-to-End Payroll Management: Extensive experience handling the complete payroll cycle, including employee onboarding, processing pay runs, managing deductions, and ensuring accurate payments. • Award and Agreement Interpretation: Proficient in interpreting and applying modern awards, enterprise agreements, and industry-specific pay rules to ensure compliance and accurate payroll execution. • Taxation and Superannuation Compliance: In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll tax requirements, PAYG withholding, and superannuation guarantee obligations, ensuring accurate deductions and timely payments. • Payroll Reconciliations: Expertise in reconciling payroll data with financial records, including processing adjustments and identifying discrepancies during audits or reviews. • Experience with Complex Payroll Scenarios: Skilled in handling multi-location, multi-entity, or multi-industry payroll operations, including managing leave accruals, overtime, allowances, and termination payments. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience working with accounting software like Xero, Quickbooks, MYOB • Xero certified advisory & Xero payroll certifications are a definite plus
