📋 Description

• Technology is the heart of what we do at SmartBiz and the Applications team builds and maintains the solutions that serve our customers, partners and internal users. • We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. You will embrace the challenge of understanding our business, the existing products and code, while having an eye for how to deliver new features (or refactor existing ones) with a commitment to scalable, maintainable, and extensible architecture. • You are able to understand business needs and solution features against those needs; you are able to design your solution, working closely with the Tech Lead(s) and Architecture teams. You are able to guide junior developers in helping to deliver those features in a clean and timely manner. • Immediately increase the velocity and output of the Applications team by building and delivering features that enable many groups within our org. • Consistently contribute to high-quality releases every 2 weeks according to plan, working in Ruby, Python and React and deployed on AWS. • Eliminating technical debt and prioritizing tech refresh efforts where possible, while not compromising roadmap commitments. • Providing great quality through high test coverage and detailed documentation. • Helping other team members through design and code reviews and feedback.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field • 5+ years experience in a full stack development role • Expertise in Ruby • Proficiency or an interest in learning Python • A passion for clean design, quality, reliability, security, scalability • A proven history of owning issues and driving them to completion • Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and ownership • Someone who raises the bar and makes peers better, leading by example • A great team player that shows humility, listens to feedback, and is unafraid to share their point of view
