Description

• The Design Manager, Electrical will manage the in-house electrical design. • Team leadership to lead and mentor a team of electrical designer engineers. • Develop comprehensive electrical designs for utility-scale solar projects. • Ensure designs adhere to building codes, zoning ordinances, and permitting requirements. • Foster effective communication between the electrical design group and cross-functional teams. • Integrate electrical design elements into the overall project plan. • Review and approve all drawings, calculations, and specifications created by your team. • Identify training and development needs within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, with at least 3 years in the utility-scale solar energy industry. • Demonstrated proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, PVsyst, ETAP, or similar). • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to electrical engineering and solar development. • In-depth knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering principles, and industry best practices. • Excellent project management and organizational skills. • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to safety. • Ability in problem-solving and decision-making. • Strong sense of urgency.
