Description

• Work closely with Legal Affairs practice leaders to implement best practices in Legal Operations • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Legal Operations Department • Support operational planning and budget management • Lead and oversee special projects for efficiency • Demonstrate expertise on legal technologies and drive efficiencies • Oversee knowledge management tools and processes • Manage outside counsel and legal vendor relationships • Recruit, select, train, and manage performance of employees

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND seven (7) years of experience in Legal Operations in a private, public, government or military environment • or High School Diploma/GED AND fourteen (14) years of experience in Legal Operations in a private, public, government or military environment • In-depth understanding of law firm billing, pricing, and negotiation practices • Understanding of litigation/transaction matter lifecycles, and legal delivery • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; expertise with eBilling software • Written and oral communication skills • Ability to communicate concisely with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management and key external stakeholders • Capacity to think strategically to identify issues and develop long-term solutions • Adaptability and ability to work in changing environment • Negotiation skills • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to lead and manage others • Demonstrated project management skills
