β€’ The Distribution Sales Director plays a key role in the growth of SPAN. β€’ Residential electrification initiatives continue to gain traction and focus within electrical, HVAC, and renewable distributors. β€’ SPAN is creating a new category of smart panels for whole home energy management. β€’ We are looking for someone with leadership, passion and experience selling to national and regional electrical, HVAC, or renewable distributors. β€’ This role sits within the Distribution Channel and will work cross-functionally. β€’ This is an opportunity to establish SPAN in multiple trades as a dynamic thought leader.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ 7+ years of experience and success selling to national and/or regional electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or renewable distributors - Sonepar, Greentech Renewables, Ferguson, Watsco, Rexel β€’ Demonstrated ability for the art of technical sales: driving urgency, consultative selling, and closing business β€’ Strong analytical and operational skills in executing distribution strategic plans that result in mindshare and revenue driven by distributor β€’ A solid and genuine understanding of technology, specifically relevant to smart home and sustainable or renewable energy β€’ Ability to create a long-term vision and engage key stakeholders to execute on that vision β€’ Ability to get things done in a fast-paced startup environment β€’ Strong team-player with a proven track record of working effectively with all stakeholders β€’ Past experience building out a new vertical for a company, including managing a team β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills β€’ Positive mindset and attitude with a passion for rapidly scaling residential electrification β€’ Up to 60% travel may be required
