Description

• S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to secure AWS Cloud database environments. • Provision and administer RDS, Aurora, and other databases in AWS Cloud. • Hands on experience in AWS Cloud solutions using AWS Aurora & RDS. • Automate routine Cloud DBA maintenance, patching tasks using scripting technologies. • Develop scripts to automate Database infrastructure provisioning. • Implement cloud database engineering best practices and controls. • Evaluate new cloud database AWS services and solutions. • Enforce cloud database security policies and audit logging mechanisms.

Requirements

• Proficient in cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS. • Skilled in managing AWS Global Aurora Postgres and Global Aurora MySQL. • Familiar with tools for monitoring and administering cloud databases. • Experienced in developing engineering solutions for both relational (RDBMS) and non-relational databases in the cloud. • Expertise in automating cloud database provisioning, upgrades, security patches, and monitoring. • Capable of defining backup, recovery, retention, and disaster recovery procedures for cloud databases.
