β€’ Drive the strategic vision and execution of how creators discover and engage with sounds and tools. β€’ Shape and lead the evolution of Splice’s discovery experiences, developing scalable solutions that improve engagement and fuel creativity for millions of users. β€’ Translate complex technical requirements into clear product strategies. β€’ Envision and define personalized sound discovery experiences, tailored to each customer's intent. β€’ Drive roadmap to implement recommendation experiences, invent ways to multiply the rate of innovation across the company. β€’ Establish a robust experimentation framework, designing and implementing A/B tests to optimize key performance metrics. β€’ Work with engineers, data scientists, managers, and designers to define and execute a product roadmap. β€’ Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs. β€’ Clearly communicate goals, requirements, roadmaps, and timelines to internal cross-functional teams. β€’ Serve as a thought leader and technical expert in developing cutting-edge recommendation experiences. β€’ Monitor industry trends and advancements in AI, search, and recommendation systems.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ 7-10 years of experience leading AI/ML-driven personalization or search product development at scale, including direct experience with recommendation engines, search relevance, and ranking algorithms. β€’ Expertise in search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr), personalization algorithms, and machine learning techniques. Comfortable discussing architecture, trade-offs, and implementation challenges with engineering teams. β€’ Proven track record of driving business impact through AI-powered product initiatives, with experience influencing executives and aligning teams around a shared vision. β€’ Strong analytical skills with experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, analyzing large data sets, and using data to drive decision-making. β€’ Exceptional ability to partner with engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. β€’ Deep understanding of user behavior, design principles, and usability best practices in digital discovery experiences.
