Description

• SpotOn helps restaurants and small businesses compete with payment and software technology. • As a staff engineer, you’ll work on improving merchant signup flows and reporting capabilities. • Responsibilities include communicating across teams, writing automated tests, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • A strong technical background in software engineering and architecture, with experience in modern programming languages. • Ability to work independently with very little direction, taking full ownership of projects. • Identifying blind spots, anticipate challenges, and prioritize work effectively. • Exceptional communication and organizational skills. • Proficiency using Python, Javascript, Typescript, Kubernetes, and AWS. • Experience in writing and/or supporting Django, Flask, FastAPI or similar web frameworks. • 8+ years of relevant experience preferred. • Experience with PHP and GoLang are a plus but not required. • Experience with Distributed Task Queues such as Celery and RabbitMQ is preferred. • Experience with RDBMS/SQL is also preferred. • Experience with MongoDB is preferred. • Experience with Terraform is preferred. • Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
