πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle. β€’ Generate technical specifications to create or redesign software components. β€’ Configure and maintain software and scripts needed to support development activities, including builds and unit testing. β€’ Create and maintain documentation to capture software design and implementation, internal processes, and operations. β€’ Create and maintain user-facing documentation to capture and explain application features, configuration options, and behavior. β€’ Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review. β€’ Support development work on the Universal Agent for various platforms including z/OS, IBM iSeries, Linux, and others.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or equivalent experience. β€’ Solid programming discipline: unit testing, data structures, complexity analysis, object-oriented principles, design patterns, etc. β€’ 5+ years of C/C++ experience. β€’ Experience with legacy systems including z/OS, IBM iSeries, and others is required. β€’ Experience with Assembler is required. β€’ Demonstrated experience/knowledge developing applications that: β€’ Perform efficiently and reliably, demonstrating knowledgeable use of system resources and C language functions that manage those resources β€’ Create and manage incoming and outgoing TCP/IP connections for cross-component messaging β€’ Take advantage of open source implementations of common application framework features, including those that manage file transfer, connection security, and data encryption β€’ Are packaged for external, on-premise deployments β€’ Experience using project management tools such as VersionOne, Jira, or Redmine. β€’ Experience with Git or Subversion. β€’ Experience developing C/C++ applications on Windows, Linux, and/or Unix (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX) is a plus. β€’ Experience with test-driven development. β€’ Experience with GoogleTest or other UTest-based unit test framework for C/C++ β€’ Interpersonal skills and appreciation of other people's work discipline β€’ The ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with Stonebranch employees and partners β€’ The ability to work in a team
