Description

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and skills development to a talented software engineering team. • Manage engineers working on Sun Life’s platform across multiple domains and technologies. • Assess performance and develop engineering talent. • Ensure software quality through best practices for testing and development. • Drive disciplined approach to software development adopting agile best practices. • Provide architecture and technology strategy guidance with engineering management peers.

Requirements

• 8-10 years software development experience with at least 2 in management/team lead position. • Experience with at least two programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Go. • Experience with distributed systems like microservices or service oriented architecture. • Ability to contribute to application development and design/architecture. • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring across the full technology stack. • Experience with complex data structures and workflows in web-based applications. • Strong communication skills and great product sense. • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
