Description

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles • Coordinate and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures • Maintain a cohesive accounting team by recruiting, training, and coaching employees • Produce financial reports and present findings and recommendations to upper management • Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process • Support month-end and year-end close processes • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements • Collaborate with external auditors and provide required support

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA preferred. • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a mix of Public Accounting and startup or tech environment • 2+ years of management experience • Strong understanding of accounting theory and financial reporting • Proficient in Netsuite • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
