Description

• Synack’s PTaaS platform uncovers vulnerabilities, securing Global 2000 customers and U.S. agencies. • As a Senior QA Engineer, validate software using cutting-edge technologies in cybersecurity. • Debug software via systematic tests, develop, apply, and maintain quality standards. • Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and testing programs. • Contribute enhancements to existing automation tools for improved maintainability. • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in software debugging and modification. • Analyze test results ensuring functionality and recommend corrective actions. • Collaborate with development engineers to resolve problems. • Maintain and improve automated testing and CI systems. • Collaborate with engineers to develop system level testing. • Interface with sales and customers to diagnose and resolve field issues. • Learn new technologies to enhance tools and productivity.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience • 3+ years in Software Engineering, at least 3 of which in QA and/or SDET • 1+ years of experience writing scalable automation tests • JavaScript savvy, preferably specific to Node and React • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced agile environment • Comfort with writing and reading code, and a basic understanding of data structures • Hands on experience with automation framework design and development from scratch • Experience with writing backend integration tests for RESTful APIs • FE Test Automation expertise in TestCafe, Cypress, Playwright or similar tools (we use playwright) • Experience with BDD tools like cucumber with the automation framework • CI tooling experience with Github Actions or similar • Strong understanding of all web browsers, versions and functionality • Strong understanding of testing and debugging backend applications • Understanding of source control and release management in the context of when/where/why/how to test (we use git) • Understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies (we use Docker) • Understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies • Understanding of Cloud technologies, like AWS, GCP, Azure • Experience analyzing Logs using splunk, GCP • Candidates must be US citizens
