• TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work closely with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. • They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product. • They oversee all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; finding solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. • They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.
• BS degree in Engineering required (Electrical / Mechanical / Systems discipline preferred) • At least 3 or more years of engineering experience in a Military or Aerospace Environment • Knowledge of electronic components, including TE product lines (connectors, relays, sensors, wire & cable) • Knowledge of high reliability system architecture in aircraft and defense subsystems ranging from LRU’s, high speed copper and FO cabling, sensor systems and interconnects • Experience in development engineering and participation in full product development cycle • Proficient in 3D Design Applications; Creo, Solid Works, SpaceClaim, AutoCAD etc. • Experience reading/interpreting production level drawings • Ability to perform basic tolerance analysis and design for manufacturing • Familiar with machining and 3D printing for rapid prototype development • Demonstrated ability to provide effective project leadership • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize • Strong interpersonal & negotiating skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels within and outside of the organization • Ability and willingness to travel as required, mainly regionally
