Description

• Looking for a Manager of Data Science Engineering at Disney Advertising. • Focus on data-driven initiatives and technical capabilities. • Responsible for engineering rigor, architecture expertise, and project governance. • Manage Data Scientists and provide technical guidance on projects. • Consult stakeholders to ensure requirements are implemented correctly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field and minimum of 8 years of experience (or Masters degree and minimum of 6 years of experience) working in a data engineering role. • 2+ years of technical management experience in a direct or indirect capacity. • Expertise using SQL within Cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud and Snowflake. • Expertise developing code, pipelines and orchestration processes in Airflow using Python. • Expertise in bash and other command-line programming tools such as Google Cloud/AWS SDKs and Snowflake SnowSQL. • Experience developing architecture standards, identifying inefficiencies and providing thought leadership. • Experience creating and implementing technical documentation standards. • Experience working in an agile environment helping lead development of requirements, management of workflows and priorities, and generation of feedback to a data team. • Great organization, communication, and teamwork skills. • Preference given to experience in digital advertising and advertiser-facing data products such as Data Clean Rooms.
