Description

• Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods • Utilizes knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. • Uses Lean principles to improve manufacturing efficiencies and drive for continual improvement. • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. • Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes. • Confers with vendors to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts. • Project manages all technical upgrades, equipment installation, tooling design and implementation. • Aligns with the appropriate personnel in contract reviews for significant projects. • Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards. • Gather data to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures. • Ensures successful completion of health and safety reviews for new and altered equipment. • Participates in travel as appropriate for business needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing environment • Proficient levels of technical expertise in the areas of sheet metal fabrication • Experience with repetitive and build-to-suit manufacturing methodologies • Experience managing large and complex projects using industry tools • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a high competency in Excel • Strong analytical thinker • Preferred Requirements: • Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering
