Description

• Assist with driving FirstEnergy’s DER Strategy while providing leadership and support • Maintain a safe workplace based on knowledge of potential hazards and regulations • Provide a high level of service and continuous support regarding technical matters • Conduct technical research analysis and interpret results • Develop process improvements and efficiencies • Support the storm response process in various roles

Requirements

• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution required • Minimum of three to five years' engineering experience required • Advanced degree or certification is a plus; PE preferred • Previous experience in DER interconnection review and/or distribution planning & protection preferred • In-depth understanding of pertinent technical products and/or services and of customer needs and expectations • Expert-level analytical and technical abilities • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word • Experience with SAP, CYME, LFDMS, EMS, TOAD/SQL, and GISView a plus • Excellent verbal communication skills • Excellent technical analysis and technical writing abilities • Able to lead by example and coach others in effective decision making
