Description

• Perform on-site and virtual risk control evaluations for insured entities to avoid, reduce and/or transfer risk using industry best practice principles • Provide a risk control report to the entity outlining recommendations for reducing risk exposures • Conduct property evaluations, review safety policies/procedures • Provide targeted and impactful risk control services to our insureds • Conduct educational seminars for our insureds • Collaborate with Underwriting and Claims teams to review insured exposures, optimize risk mitigation implementation, and identify trends • Support other departments in development of forms, policies, and procedures to help improve work processes

Requirements

• Previous working experience with public entities or property and liability insurance • Minimum 2 years of relevant and progressive public risk control experience gained from working in the risk management or insurance industry with knowledge of safety and risk prevention • Bachelor of Science degree, or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience • Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy • Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) • Possess a State issued Driver's License • Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Risk Management for Public Entities (RMPE) and/or equivalent insurance designation, Property and Casualty Agents License is an asset.
