• We’re on a mission to help every family leave their legacy with a fast, easy, and secure way to create, manage, and distribute their estate plan online. • Since 2017, we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of families plan for their future with a streamlined and intuitive approach that makes estate planning simple, affordable, and accessible. • As Assistant General Counsel, Product, you will be one of the critical bridges between our innovative product team and the estate planning industry, ensuring that every new product we launch is not only hugely impactful and groundbreaking but also aligned with estate planning industry practice and compliant with state laws and regulations. • You’ll play a pivotal role in driving the ideation, creation, and evolution of our product offerings, helping guide the process from concept through implementation and ongoing maintenance. • Your expertise will also position you as a thought leader, acting as one of the company’s spokespersons on complex estate planning issues and regulatory matters. • You’ll work closely with our teams to ensure they are equipped with the resources they need to support our members, while also championing regulatory and legislative advancements that align with both business goals and broader consumer benefits.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing • 10+ years of estate planning experience with product counseling, preferably in the technology, financial services, or estate planning industries • Experience working with product development teams to innovate, implement, and maintain product offerings • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance issues, and legislative processes relevant to estate planning, financial services, and/or technology • Demonstrated ability to advocate for industry change and navigate public policy and regulatory affairs, with prior experience engaging with legislators, regulators, or industry groups being a strong plus • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to serve as a company spokesperson and interact with both internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulators and legislators • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to balance legal risk with business goals in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

Benefits
