📋 Description

• Handle a portfolio of grants, contracts, marketing materials, and other collateral documents in collaboration with outside counsel. • Anticipate and address legal, business, and regulatory challenges within the DeFi space, recommending solutions to mitigate risks and pursue opportunities that align with the foundation's mission. • Review external communications to ensure alignment with foundation objectives and regulatory compliance. • Provide risk-based legal, regulatory, and strategic advice to the General Counsel and communicate to executives, grantees, marketing teams, and more. • Review and structure grant agreements for the grant programs. • Monitor communications and deliverables from grantees to ensure compliance with the foundation’s guidelines, expectations, and regulatory requirements. • Assist the General Counsel in executing the foundation's broad legal and policy strategy.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; member of a U.S. state bar in good standing. • 2–5 years of legal practice experience with a strong focus on corporate law, contract law, marketing guidelines, IP law, Securities and Commodities law, and a base understanding of broad financial regulation requirements. • Understanding of 501(c)4 organization structure and requisite reporting and record-keeping associated therewith. • Familiarity with U.S. financial regulatory frameworks as they apply to decentralized exchanges and DeFi protocols. • Demonstrated experience advising on web3 and crypto matters, particularly within the DeFi ecosystem. • Understanding of protocol mechanics and governance structure. • Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to advancing decentralized finance. • Innate curiosity.
