Description

• Support the Naval Research Laboratory program. • Secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers. • Comply with procurement standards. • Operate with limited supervision in a cross-functional environment. • Directly interface with program office and other parts of the organization. • Review technical project requirements and issue supplier solicitations. • Promote competition when feasible. • Review and negotiate material/service offers and purchase order terms. • Evaluate, select, and award contracts considering FAR and DFARS regulations. • Improve supplier performance.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, or S.T.E.M. • Additional years of relevant experience can be substituted for a degree • 3 or more years of progressive experience in sourcing, negotiation, and procurement roles; US Defense industry preferred. • US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. • Supply Chain Professional Certifications, NCMA/ISM preferred. • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP, CostPoint experience strongly preferred. • Experience with PLM tool • Knowledge of CPSR requirements and ability to prepare compliance procurement files. • Proficiency in performing market research to determine optimal procurement strategies. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team. • Highly organized, critical, analytical thinker, excellent problem-solver. • Adaptable to change.
