β€’ The role of the Freelance Remote Director is to generate social media video assets to use in ad creative. β€’ They will live direct talent remotely utilizing industry-standard remote video production technology, are responsible for footage deliverables, and interpreting production requests and shoot briefs into actionable filming plans. β€’ Receive production requests/creative briefs from Supervising Producers and develop them into production plans in partnership with the Production Management team. β€’ Identify resources needed to execute the project at the requested quality for client performance goals. β€’ Review Brand & Legal information for clients in received briefs. β€’ Convert briefs into detailed shot lists, as needed β€’ Work with a Supervising Producer and Production Manager to assess potential production roadblocks or missing information to execute effectively. β€’ Generate a library of raw assets by remotely directing talent. β€’ Follow media management best practices including internal organization and naming conventions. β€’ Attend pre-production calls and post-mortem meetings for assigned productions, as required. β€’ Ensure raw video assets are delivered by the deadline and with proper TubeScience quality and technical standards. β€’ Keep up-to-date with department-wide best practices (performance learnings, shooting techniques, workflow tactics, etc.). β€’ Develop an understanding of performance metrics and factors influencing footage performance, and consistently apply learnings to content creation β€’ Research competitor and social media ecosystem trends and integrate findings into content creation

Requirements

β€’ A reel and/or portfolio showcasing a body of work to demonstrate expertise in talent direction β€’ Has an awareness of what performs well on social media and performance creative best practices β€’ Able to interpret and apply performance/conversion-based feedback on footage β€’ Able to input all receipts and transactions into team budget trackers promptly β€’ Possesses a strong understanding of the remote production workflow, both from a creative and technical perspective β€’ Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal β€’ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills β€’ Able to conduct themselves in a professional, remote-first environment β€’ Expertise in talent direction as well as remotely coordinating and directing blocking, lighting, and production design as needed. β€’ Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. β€’ Adaptability and willingness to stay updated with industry best practices and department-wide guidelines. β€’ Prior experience in performance marketing is a plus.
