📋 Description

• Own end-to-end revenue accounting, including contract review and revenue recognition in line with ASC 606. • Analyze programmatic ad sales, partnerships, and platform deals to determine revenue treatment. • Partner with Sales and Legal to review contracts and identify accounting implications. • Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos on complex deals and evolving models. • Lead month-end close for revenue and related accounts, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. • Oversee customer billing and collections processes to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment. • Manage accounts receivable aging, follow up on outstanding balances, and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding). • Improve revenue recognition and collections processes in partnership with Finance Systems. • Maintain and enhance internal controls over revenue, billing, and collections, supporting SOX readiness. • Support external audits, including preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting, collections, and GL. • Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP financial reporting. • Strong Excel and data analysis skills. • Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to work with large datasets. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally and explain accounting concepts to non-accountants. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred). • Experience in adtech, martech, media, digital advertising, or SaaS industries. • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle. • Familiarity with collections management software or AR automation tools. • Exposure to SOX compliance and internal audit processes.
