📋 Description

• The Unisys Commercial Management Director provides leadership and oversight to the Contract Management group. • You will oversee and provide advice and support across all phases of the contract management lifecycle. • You will work with business partners and with in-house legal counsel. • Be available for guidance and advice relative to writing, analyzing and responding to proposals, negotiate contract terms and identify and mitigate risk. • You will ensure ongoing maintenance of records for existing and past contracts. • You will also identify, recommend and implement contract management procedures, policies and business processes. • This is a strategic role that supports senior leadership in the US&C business and works across all departments involved in client contracting. • Directs, monitors and evaluates the activities of senior-level leaders and professional associates performing at all levels in the Contract Management function. • Oversees Contract Management procedures and processes in support of new and existing business and growth across the company. • Serves as a leading subject matter expert across all aspects of commercial agreements, including commercial terms, areas of risk and reward, operational compliance, cost control, financial responsibilities and milestone obligations. • Establishes the commercial position for significant accounts and works with key internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risk, manage change and ensure application of best practices. • Defines and ensures adoption of effective negotiation strategies, leading efforts on complex commercial deals and influencing decisions by both internal and external parties. • Promotes compliance with Unisys sales and contract management governance policies.

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 10+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience • Graduate degree preferred • The candidate must be able to work with the most senior business leadership and exercise considerable judgment when issues are escalated. • The team lead must be proficient in US&C specific contract negotiations to both train others and manage escalations. • You must have 4-6 years’ leadership experience managing a team and working closely with sales leadership. • Strong business acumen is critical for success in this position, and the ability to use sound business judgement when balancing issues and prioritizing your workload. • Demonstrated experience overseeing contract negotiations for a business or geography and possess skills and proficiency throughout the sales process are critical.
