• About Upstart • Upstart is a leading AI lending marketplace partnering with banks and credit unions to expand access to affordable credit. • More than two-thirds of Upstart loans are approved instantly and are fully automated. • Upstart’s Compliance Testing and Monitoring team plays a critical role in ensuring Upstart adheres to regulatory requirements. • As a Compliance Testing Manager, you will lead the design and execution of compliance testing programs.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in compliance testing, audit, risk management, or regulatory oversight within financial services or fintech. • 3+ years of people management experience. • Deep knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations (e.g., ECOA, FCRA, UDAAP, TILA, GLBA). • Experience conducting control assessments, issue remediation tracking, and reporting on compliance risk. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders. • Preferred qualifications: • Certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, or CIA. • Experience working with fintech products, digital banking, or lending platforms. • Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to enhance compliance testing. • Familiarity with AI-driven credit underwriting models and regulatory expectations around fairness and transparency. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining a strong compliance culture.
