📋 Description

• Support the day-to-day activities and projects of the enterprise-wide Legal department. • Support company state filings and insurance coverages. • Develop and implement procedures for contract management and document retention in compliance with company policy. • Track and review outside counsel (including bill management and budgeting). • Prepare, track, organize and file various documents, including but not limited to, secretary of state filings, insurance policies, company and individual license applications, renewals and other reports and documents, as needed. • Assist with legal and compliance projects, including due diligence (vendor and client), necessary filings, and policy updates. • Collaborate with Corporate Counsels to analyze and respond to subpoena requests and other litigation issues. • Update and maintain tracking spreadsheets, such as, but not limited to, approval and products spreadsheets and budgets. • Set up and track Legal files. • Assist with template creation and formatting upon provided direction. • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. • Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks. • Other projects and duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college in business or related field; or a minimum of five years legal experience; or a combination of education and experience. • Corporate paralegal or risk/legal background. • Paralegal certificate. • 5+ Years as a paralegal (either in a law firm or in-house role). • Experience in Financial institution and/or credit union.
