• Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of databases. • Ensure databases are running efficiently. • Monitor database performance and optimize techniques. • Apply patches and updates in a timely manner. • Conduct routine maintenance for database stability. • Ensure effective disaster recovery plans. • Enforce database security policies and manage permissions. • Provide advanced technical support for complex issues. • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. • Maintain detailed documentation of database processes. • Coordinate with IT professionals for system integration. • Participate in database-related projects and offer expertise. • Stay current with industry trends and implement improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent IT experience. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle or Microsoft Certified Associate) are a plus. • 3-5+ years of experience in Oracle or MS SQL Server database administration or a related role. • Advanced knowledge of the SQL Server database administration • Experience in Cassandra or MongoDB is a plus, but not required • Demonstrated experience with implementing and managing AlwaysOn • Proficiency in Database architecture, features, and tools. • Advanced knowledge of SQL and T-SQL. • Experience with database backup and recovery tools and techniques. Rubrik is a plus. • Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting. • Understanding of following Change Management procedures to deploy system changes. • Experience with Azure SQL is a plus • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
