Description

• Lead the modernization and stabilization of VA systems in support of the VistA Infrastructure Shares Services (VISS) office. • Demands expertise in MUMPS, ObjectScript, Delphi, and 4GL programming languages. • Play a key role in integrating modern patterns into the VistA ecosystem. • Enhance performance and ensure interoperability. • Serve as the technical authority for VistA enterprise architecture. • Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and modernize legacy systems. • Facilitate integration of InterSystems HealthShare products to enhance data exchange. • Conduct performance assessments, gap analyses, and architectural reviews. • Mentor technical teams on best practices for mission-critical VA systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. • 10+ years of experience with InterSystems ObjectScript and MUMPS. • Strong knowledge of Delphi and 4GL languages (e.g., Java, C#). • Expertise with VA system components: Kernel, FileMan, RPC Broker, HL7, VistALink, and MailMan. • Proven experience integrating modern architectural patterns into legacy systems. • Familiarity with VistA, healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), and HealthShare products. • Strong analytical skills with a focus on scalability, optimization, and system sustainability. • Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and DevSecOps practices are a plus. • Experience with IRIS for Health (2022+ versions) is a plus
