Description

• Wealthfront is seeking a Tax Manager to join the Finance and Accounting team in building a scalable infrastructure to support a dynamic, high-growth business. • As the company’s first tax hire, the Tax Manager will play a foundational role in developing and managing the tax function, including overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, assisting with tax provisions, and preparing tax returns. • The Tax Manager will collaborate closely with leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms to leverage their expertise and ensure best practices, fostering a supportive and solutions-oriented environment. • Reporting to the Sr. Director of Accounting, this position offers the unique opportunity to design and implement key tax processes while eventually building and leading a tax team to scale with the company's growth. • As a partner to the entire Finance and Accounting team, you will combine a commitment to Wealthfront’s mission with a passion for leading a strategic function that supports critical operating decisions across the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) years of corporate income tax experience, including four (4) years of provision tax experience • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Working knowledge of the U.S. GAAP accounting principles and ASC 740 • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team • Must be highly dedicated with a positive attitude, self-motivated, a team player who takes initiative and is willing to learn
