• Set an ambitious product vision for your product domain. • Oversee the planning, development, and launch of new product experiences that continuously raise the bar on quality, performance, and ambition. • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and stakeholders across the business. • Break down complex, behind-the-scenes projects into discrete phases that deliver value to clients and the business incrementally. • Lead the planning, prioritization, development, and launch of products and features. • Establish and own a variety of metrics related to performance and client outcomes. • Help elevate the Product Management practice at Wealthsimple and create an inclusive and supportive team culture. • Talk directly to customers to uncover problems, identify unmet needs, and validate potential solutions. • Own key business outcomes and effectively communicate progress and results to R+D leadership.
• 7+ year track record of building and shipping products that customers love. • Experience leading product teams to delivery large, complex cross-functional projects and manage multiple dependencies. • A shipping mentality - a proven track-record of making trade-offs in scope to deliver impact, test hypothesis and establish strong client feedback loops, quickly. • Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research, including large-scale client research, to uncover insights and shape the direction of product roadmaps. • Strong bias to action and the ability to set the tone for teams and stakeholders to deliver impact in a fast-paced environment. • Enough technical know-how to talk with engineers about architecture and technical considerations that impact a product and a desire to learn what you don’t know to help drive decision-making. • Curiosity and a thirst for learning. You dig deep into any problem you encounter until you’ve cracked the nut on what’s really important. You ask “why?” a lot. Like, a lot. • Analytical skills to pull your own data, analyze it, and draw meaningful insights from it. • Discerning taste for what constitutes a great product experience. • Proven ability to turn complex problems into simple experiences. • Strong understanding of how design, product and engineering can work together to ship high quality experiences quickly and at scale. • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and project direction to internal teams and stakeholders.
