📋 Description
• Equis is seeking a Communications Strategist to support planning and execution of a robust communications strategy. • Ensure the implementation of the communication strategy. • Support and maintain reporter relationships and monitor internal and external sources. • Lead the development of compelling materials, including talking points, press releases, op-eds.
🎯 Requirements
• 3-5 years of demonstrated and relevant experience in communications • Keen awareness of the news cycle • Excellent communicator and writer with presentation, proofreading and editing skills • Rapid response and some digital or social media experience • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups and people • Demonstrated ability to work independently, drive progress, share vision • Experience managing external consultants and freelancers • History and understanding of political nuances • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills • Flexible and resilient, willing to innovate • Fluency in Spanish • Familiarity with Google Slides, Keynote, Canva or similar tools • Experience utilizing Mailchimp, Google Suites software, Asana or similar tools
