• Drive the development and execution of North America Material Movement Automation capital projects using Project Management Practices (PMP) process as projects are assigned. • Focus for this role will be to execute engineering elements including leveraging TSP teams in developing technical expertise to execute and deliver on K-C project objectives. • Drive overall TSP engagement as part of the Material Movement Automation Project Portfolio. • Ensure value engineering/cost savings activities are prioritized and executed within the project. • Ensure all work complies with Corporate Safety, Regulatory, and Quality requirements. • Effectively collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes R&E, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers and with a focus on external service providers. • Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline (e.g. Science or Engineering related) • 15+ years of related technical experience, recognized experience/knowledge in at least one area of technology • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering on capital projects - management/execution • Knowledge and demonstrated success in leveraging Project Management Practices (PMP) • 30-50% Travel is required to support project execution needs – including installations, mill and vendor visits as projects dictate. • International travel may be required in certain projects. • Preferred: Experience in the design requirement and safe operation of high-speed tissue manufacturing/Tissue Converting and/or high-speed personal care product manufacturing equipment and processes with an ability to translate that knowledge in support of automation implementation projects. • Experience with logistics and/or manufacturing automation technologies such as AGVs, AMRs, 6 axis robotics, etc. with desire to grow and employ that knowledge as a subject matter expert. • Related technical experience includes various roles at both mill/staff locations and/or cross sector experiences. • Demonstrated success in managing TSPs supporting project execution. • PMP or PMI certification or gaining certification as part of continued education in this role.
