Description

• Managing a team of 2 accountants • Overseeing accounting entries and financial reporting • Preparing quarterly board materials and reporting • Refining internal processes • Review and process monthly accounting entries • Prepare/review monthly account reconciliations • Assist management with financials for board meetings • Manage the accounting team • Assist leadership with financial model • Prepare annual accounts and assist with tax filings • Participate in process improvements for financial close process • Proactively identify issues in accounting processes • Assist in development of new policies and procedures • Assist with financial due diligence • Document and monitor internal controls • Assist with ad-hoc projects

Requirements

• Well versed in full-cycle accounting and US GAAP requirements • CPA with 3+ years experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm or equivalent experience • 2+ years experience managing direct reports • Bonus: experience implementing and scaling accounting processes at a startup • Ability to work alongside data scientists and engineers • Strong quantitative analysis skills • Strong experience with financial software (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks or similar) • An Excel grandmaster • Process-minded: you improve upon inefficient processes
